By OGB Joseph, Abuja
Dr. Jeffrey Kurayun has officially joined the race for the Benue State governorship after submitting his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking shortly after the submission, Kurayun described the development as the beginning of a new chapter aimed at repositioning the state for growth and development.
“I am very glad because this marks the beginning of a process to transform our state into what it should be,” he said.
The governorship aspirant expressed confidence in his capacity to lead the state, citing his experience in both the private and public sectors as a strong foundation for effective governance.
“I am fully qualified to run and to serve. I bring practical solutions that will improve the lives of our people,” Kurayun stated.
He stressed that his ambition is driven by the interests of the people rather than political patronage, insisting that the will of the electorate remains paramount.
“My focus is on the people. The mandate of the people is what truly matters,” he added.
Addressing the lingering security challenges confronting Benue State, Kurayun assured residents that his administration would prioritize practical and lasting solutions to insecurity and other pressing issues affecting communities across the state.
“Our state has endured difficult times, especially in terms of insecurity. We are committed to implementing practical solutions to address these challenges,” he said.
He further pledged to provide purposeful and people-oriented leadership if elected governor in the forthcoming election.
