JUST IN: Okpebholo Aide, Youth Commissioner Forge Alliance to Boost Student Empowerment in Edo

The Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Student Affairs and Mobilisation, Hon. Victor Ureshemi Akande, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to advancing student welfare and youth empowerment through strategic partnerships.
Akande made this known after a meeting with the Edo State Commissioner for Youth, Hon. Charity Amayaenvbo, where both officials discussed measures to strengthen student development, empowerment and meaningful engagement across the state.
According to the governor’s aide, the engagement focused on exploring collaborative initiatives that would expand opportunities for students and young people in line with the development agenda of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
He noted that the partnership reflects the administration’s determination to invest in the future of Edo’s youth by promoting programmes that equip students with the skills and support needed to realise their full potential.
Akande stressed that collaboration among key government institutions remains essential to achieving sustainable progress in the education and youth sectors.
“I remain committed to fostering strong collaborations and partnerships that will create more opportunities for students and young people, in line with the vision of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo,” he said.
He added that the government would continue to work towards creating an environment where every Edo student is empowered to excel and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development and prosperity.
The meeting is expected to pave the way for stronger coordination between the Student Affairs and Youth ministries as the Okpebholo administration intensifies efforts to promote youth inclusion, leadership development and educational advancement in Edo State.
