JUST IN: Edo Govt Intensifies Student Development Drive as Akande Meets Chief of Staff

BENIN CITY – The Edo State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening student development and advancing the education sector through strategic collaboration, following a meeting between the Special Adviser to the Governor on Student Affairs and Mobilisation, Hon. Victor Ureshemi Akande, and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa.
Akande disclosed that the courtesy visit provided an opportunity to deliberate on key issues affecting students, with discussions centred on improving student engagement, enhancing welfare and promoting initiatives that will support educational development across the state.
According to him, the engagement underscored the administration’s determination to build partnerships capable of creating more opportunities for students while fostering innovation and leadership among young people in Edo State.
The Special Adviser reiterated his commitment to working with relevant stakeholders to implement programmes that will improve the welfare of students and empower the next generation of leaders.
“I remain committed to building strong partnerships that will enhance student welfare, promote innovation and empower the next generation of leaders across Edo State,” Akande said.
He commended the Chief of Staff for the warm reception, valuable insights and steadfast commitment to the progress of Edo State, expressing confidence that the collaboration would further strengthen the government’s efforts to deliver meaningful dividends to students.
Akande added that through sustained cooperation among government officials and stakeholders, the administration would continue to pursue policies and initiatives aimed at securing a brighter future for students and the people of Edo State.
