JUST IN Political Analyst Urged Atiku to Build Strategic Alliance with the Incumbent says Tinubu ‘Unstoppable’ in 2027

A political analyst, Comrade Ambrose Ezenweani has projected a commanding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, describing the incumbent as “unstoppable” amid what it called shifting political dynamics and a fragmented opposition.

Ezenweani who is also the Coordinator of the Tinubu Unopposed Mandate in a statement on Monday made available to journalists in Abuja  argued that early indicators suggest Tinubu could secure re-election in a free and fair contest with overwhelming advantage, citing incumbency strength, policy direction, and evolving voter priorities since the 2023 elections.

Responding to growing speculation over potential contenders, the group maintained that Tinubu’s governance record under the Renewed Hope agenda has begun to reshape national expectations and consolidate support across key constituencies.

“Based on the current trajectory, President Tinubu is positioned to win convincingly, almost like an unopposed candidate in practical terms,” the statement read.

The group, however, turned attention to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, noting that while he remains a significant political actor, his prospects of improving on previous electoral performances appear limited under current conditions.

It described Atiku as a “pillar of Nigeria’s democratic evolution,” referencing his role in opposing the controversial third-term agenda and his advocacy for rotational leadership between the North and South.
Despite this, the group suggested that Atiku’s most strategic option ahead of 2027 would be to align with the incumbent President.

“The most politically beneficial decision for Atiku would be to support Tinubu’s second-term bid. Such an alliance would not only strengthen national unity but also preserve his political structure beyond 2027,” it stated.

According to the analysis, Atiku could play a critical role in coordinating federal development initiatives, particularly in Northern Nigeria, while positioning himself advantageously for future political considerations.

On the Labour Party front, the group expressed doubts over the chances of its 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, asserting that he may struggle to secure his party’s ticket ahead of the next election cycle.

It further argued that even if Obi emerges as a candidate, the conditions that fueled his strong showing in 2023 may no longer be present.

Among these, it cited a decline in religious-driven political mobilisation, noting that reactions to the APC’s same-faith ticket have subsided, with voters now more focused on governance and economic performance.

The group also pointed to what it described as a weakening of the youth-driven momentum that characterised Obi’s campaign, alleging that recent political associations may have eroded his credibility among young voters.

In addition, it claimed that the Labour Party’s image as a “clean alternative” to mainstream parties has diminished, potentially affecting its ability to mobilise support at the grassroots level.

While acknowledging that Nigeria’s political landscape remains fluid, the group insisted that current realities favour the incumbent, who it said continues to benefit from institutional backing and strategic positioning.

As political activities gradually intensify ahead of 2027, analysts say the coming months will test the strength of emerging alliances, voter sentiment, and the capacity of opposition figures to mount a formidable challenge.

The group noted that for now, however, the narrative within pro-government circles appears firmly set—President Tinubu remains the candidate to beat.
