JUST IN:2027: PAJ Pledges People-Centred Leadership, Vows to Reach Every Community Ahead of 2027

Leading African Democratic Congress, ADC candidate for Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency and grassroots mobiliser, Paul Afagase Johnson (PAJ), has reaffirmed his commitment to people-centred leadership, saying meaningful engagement with communities remains the foundation for delivering responsive governance and sustainable development.
Johnson, in a statement following his recent visits to several communities across Akoko-Edo, said interacting directly with residents had strengthened his resolve to champion policies and initiatives that reflect the aspirations of the people.
According to him, there is no greater privilege than meeting people in their communities, listening to their experiences, understanding their challenges and sharing in their hopes for a better future.
He described the engagements as productive and inspiring, noting that every conversation reinforced his belief that the future of Akoko-Edo can only be built on unity, trust and genuine leadership.
“I did not just come to speak; I came to listen, to learn and to renew my commitment to serving with sincerity, compassion and purpose,” he stated.
Johnson expressed appreciation for the warm reception, prayers and encouragement he received during the visits, saying the support from residents had further strengthened his determination to continue the journey of service.
He stressed that the movement he represents is not centred on any individual but on restoring hope, expanding opportunities for young people, empowering women, supporting farmers and ensuring equitable development across all communities.
The grassroots politician maintained that leaders who remain connected to the people are better positioned to understand their needs and provide practical solutions to their challenges.
He also acknowledged the contributions of community elders, youths and women, describing their advice, ideas and prayers as vital to the vision of building a more prosperous and united Akoko-Edo.
Johnson pledged to sustain consultations across every community, ward and household, insisting that leadership must be defined by presence, service and accountability rather than promises from a distance.
Expressing optimism about the future, he said collective efforts and divine guidance would enable the people to overcome challenges and achieve lasting progress.
The statement ended with prayers for Nigeria, Edo State and Akoko-Edo, alongside his political slogan, “PAJ is Coming 2027,” signalling continued grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 political season.
