JUST IN: Adamawa 2027: Haske Submits APC Forms, Unveils Development Agenda
By OGB Joseph, Abuja
Governorship aspirant in Adamawa State, Abdurrahman Haske, has officially submitted his nomination forms ahead of the 2027 governorship election, outlining a development-driven agenda focused on economic growth, youth empowerment, and continuity in governance.
Speaking to journalists shortly after completing the submission process, Haske dismissed concerns about his age, insisting that leadership should be assessed based on competence, experience, and capacity to deliver.
“Judging me by my age alone is not fair,” he said. “I have served this country diligently across different sectors, including oil and gas, agriculture, and telecommunications. All these experiences are well documented in my CV.”
The aspirant stated that he had fulfilled all requirements in line with the Electoral Act and the guidelines of the party ahead of the primary election.
“I have completed all the necessary requirements and submitted my documents. We will allow the process to take its course and guide us on the next steps,” he added.
Reacting to discussions around possible consensus arrangements within the party, Haske expressed confidence in the APC’s internal democratic process and maintained optimism about emerging as the party’s candidate.
On his vision for Adamawa State, Haske said his administration would prioritize creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive while empowering young people with opportunities for growth and success.
“I am focused on creating an environment where businesses can flourish and where young men and women can succeed. We are committed to building a new Adamawa State with Adamawa first as our guiding principle,” he stated.
He also pledged to consolidate on the achievements recorded by the current administration under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
“We will build from where His Excellency stopped and work together to create a greater Adamawa State,” he said.
With the completion of his nomination process, Haske joins the growing list of aspirants positioning themselves for what is expected to be a highly competitive 2027 governorship race in Adamawa State.
