A frontline advocate for a new political direction in Akoko-Edo, and Aspirant for the Akoko-Edo Federal House of Representatives Hon. Paul Johnson Afagase (PAJ), has reaffirmed his commitment to building a more inclusive, accountable, and people-focused constituency through sustained consultations and grassroots engagement.

Speaking after a women empowerment programme held in Igarra on Thursday, May 14, PAJ said his ongoing consultations across Akoko-Edo are driven by a clear vision of justice, competence, accountability, and compassion for ordinary citizens.

The empowerment initiative, organised by Mrs. Joy Aina Akande, Chairman of The Rose of Izazi Foundation, attracted notable leaders and women from different communities across the constituency. The event was held in honour and support of the PAJ Divine Hope movement for the people of Akoko-Edo.

Afagase described the programme as insightful and inspiring, noting that the massive turnout and show of support reflected the growing desire among the people for purposeful leadership and community development.

“It was uplifting to witness the love, support, and commitment of our people. Such scenes reflect progress and offer a powerful glimpse into the immense potential of our great people in Akoko-Edo,” he said.

He commended Mrs. Joy Aina Akande for her dedication to empowering women and supporting community-based initiatives that directly impact lives.

According to him, women remain central to the social and economic growth of Akoko-Edo, stressing that any meaningful development agenda must prioritize their empowerment and wellbeing.

PAJ further assured residents that his mission remains focused on creating a new Akoko-Edo where hard work, sacrifice, and dedication will be recognized and rewarded.

“Our commitment remains unwavering. Together, we will build a new Akoko-Edo where the voices of the people matter and where opportunities are accessible to all,” he stated.

The event also served as an avenue for interaction with stakeholders and community leaders, as discussions centered on development, unity, and the future of Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency.

PAJ concluded by offering prayers for Nigeria, Edo State, and Akoko-Edo, while reiterating his optimism about the future of the constituency.

“God bless Nigeria, God bless Edo State, and God bless Akoko-Edo,” he said.
