The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency, Oladele Bankole-Balogun, has reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and development of children, promising to champion policies that will secure a brighter future for young people in Akoko-Edo.
In a Children’s Day message released on Tuesday, Bankole-Balogun described children as the foundation upon which the future of the constituency and the nation rests, urging stakeholders to invest more in their growth and development.
According to him, every child possesses enormous potential that must be nurtured through quality education, proper moral upbringing, and access to opportunities that will enable them thrive in life.
“Every child carries within them the seed of greatness. Our duty as leaders, parents, and community members is to nurture that seed with quality education, moral guidance, and opportunities to thrive,” he stated.
The APC standard bearer stressed that his vision for Akoko-Edo includes improved educational opportunities, strengthened youth empowerment initiatives, and the creation of a safe and enabling environment where children can develop into responsible and patriotic citizens.
Bankole-Balogun also appealed to parents, teachers, and community leaders to work collectively in instilling values of discipline, hard work, and empathy in the younger generation, noting that societies that invest in children ultimately secure their own future.
“A society that invests in its children invests in its own survival and progress,” he added.
He further encouraged children across Akoko-Edo and Nigeria to remain hopeful, dream big, and believe in their ability to make meaningful contributions to society.
The statement was issued by the Hon. Oladele Bankole-Balogun Media Team as part of activities marking the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
