The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, describing the festival as a profound reminder of faith, sacrifice, obedience, and devotion to Almighty Allah.

In a goodwill message issued in Abuja and signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda said Eid-el-Kabir remains one of Islam’s most significant celebrations, reflecting the enduring virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, including selflessness, unity, compassion, and total submission to God’s will.

The APC National Chairman urged Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah, to use the occasion to deepen national unity and promote peaceful coexistence across ethnic, religious, and political divides. He stressed that the values of sacrifice, patience, and collective responsibility are critical to strengthening the nation at a time of ongoing reforms and economic adjustments.

According to him, the lessons of Eid are especially relevant to Nigeria’s current development trajectory, noting that only sustained unity and shared commitment can deliver a stronger and more prosperous country.

Yilwatda also called on citizens to support the reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that while the policies may demand patience and sacrifice, they are designed to restore economic stability, strengthen institutions, improve infrastructure, enhance security, and create jobs for Nigerians.

He expressed confidence that under Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria would emerge more resilient and competitive in the global community, despite present challenges.

The APC chairman further encouraged prayers for national peace, unity, and security, as well as divine guidance for leaders at all levels of government.

He prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the sacrifices and acts of worship of the faithful, while granting families peace, good health, and abundant blessings during and after the festive period.

Yilwatda, who leads the ruling All Progressives Congress, concluded by wishing Muslims across the country and beyond a peaceful and memorable Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
