A frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency, Hon. Paul Johnson Afagase (PAJ), has expressed profound gratitude to his supporters and political associates despite missing out on the party ticket.

In a heartfelt message to his supporters, on his Facebook page, Afagase said the outcome of the contest would not diminish his commitment to the people of Akoko-Edo, stressing that the courage to continue remains the true measure of leadership.

Quoting former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, he said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

The politician noted that although he did not secure victory in the race for the House of Representatives seat, he emerged from the process with something more valuable — the trust, love, and confidence of the people.

“I remain deeply humbled by the overwhelming love, support, and belief shown to me throughout this journey. Every act of kindness, every encouraging word, and every gesture of solidarity meant the world to me,” he stated.

Afagase particularly appreciated loyal supporters who stood firmly with him during the political exercise, describing them not just as political allies but as family.

“To those who stood by me, you didn’t just support a candidate; you walked with a brother. I am eternally grateful to you all,” he added.

Reaffirming his political resolve and continued connection with the people, Afagase declared that his movement remains alive and stronger than ever.

“I may not have won the seat, but I won something greater — your trust, your hearts, and a renewed faith in our beloved people. PAJ for life. PAJ is coming,” he declared.
