….Promise to forge close collaboration with security agencies, ensure autonomy for LGA

The Member representing Ovia Federal Constituency and aspirant to the Edo State Governorship election, Hon. Dennis Idahosa has stated that he has done nothing less than 124 projects within the space of his four years in the office.
Idahosa made this disclosure in a press briefing shortly after submitting his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms at the APC national secretariat in Abuja saying he is prepare to serve the good people of Edo State with his experience as a legislator.
He noted that insecurity has made the people of Edo State to stopped going to the farming promising that if he gets the mandate of the Edo people, he will forge close collaboration with security agencies to ensure there is adequate security for Edo people so that they can resume their farming and other necessary hobbies that can add values to lives.
He saisd: ” Also it might intereste you to know that I have facilitated not less than 124 projects within the space of four years as a legislator, representing the good people of Ovia Federal Constituency. So to me, is not about coming to the media to speak is about your people feeling the impact of your representation in your constituency. So in that, i have done very well.
” With regards to the question, i have moved about 31 motions as we speak, and sponsored about 17 bills, one of which is beneficiary to my constituency. There was a lot, if you noticed, Ovia River bridge, there was a lot of accidents. About a year ago, as regards to the bad spot in the Ovia river bridge, and I moved the motion compelling the Federal government through FEMA to go and fix the bridge. And almost immediately, the bridge was fix and there’s no more casualty in that axis.
” The first one is about insecurity that we face in our state, Edo. I made it clear to my Edo people during the course of my consultations that I will take care of the issue of insecurity in my state by collaborating with all the security agencies across the state and majority of our state people are farmers as we speak, we can no longer go to farm as a result of farmers and herders crises as a governor of Edo state by the grace of God.
” I will collaborate with all the security agencies to ensure that the land is safe and secure for parents to go back to farm. Let me tell you a synopsis about myself and my House of Representative member. I’m currently the chairman healthcare services in House of Representative and this is my second time and also with the support of God and the people of Edo, I will be contesting for the office of governorship in Edo state to reclaim the mandate that we lost to PDP back to our great state.
” Also I also promised Edo people that i will ensure that there iis local government autonomy to ensure that most of the money appropriated for local government actually used in the various local government to stand in the Edo right now the state governments the current state governments, led by PDP government, they give stipends to local government chairmen to do minor things and at the end of the day, nothing has been done.
” Under my watch as a governor, I will ensure that money appropriated to local government actually get to them. Also, we are currently having some issues with the state government trying to interfere with issues of traditional institutions under my watch as a governor of a Edo by the grace of God, i will ensure that we protects and respects our traditional institutions.
On whether he is the anointed candidate and what is his relationship with Senator Adams Oshiomole, Hon . Idahosa said:
” First my name Right honorable Denis Idahosa If you say I’m anointed, maybe anointed by God, nobody has told me.
Adams Aliyu Oshimole is the leader of our party.
” And He’s highly respected in our state because of all he has done as a governor. And so He’s our leader, and he has not told me that I’m anointed except the fact that God has anointed me to govern the good people of Edo State”, he said.
