Ganduje directs office of NOS to release states share of sales of forms at point of sale
Assures Forum of States Organizing Secretaries of inclusion

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje has stated that the party national headquarters willno longer have sole propriety over the funds collected from the sales of forms for aspirants into elective positions saying it will now be shared between states and the secretariat for the sake of equity.
Ganduje made this clarification in a remark when the Forum of states APC Organising Secretaries paid him a visit at the Buhari House in Abuja noting that time has come for the change to take its full course so that everyone in the party will be seen to be carry along in the workings of the party. He said appealed to the office of the National Organizing Secretary to take note of the directive.
He added that it will not be ideal for the party that after it must have collected huge some of money from the sales, sometimes releasing the funds could be difficult and not to be seen to be greedy, states must have their share at the point of sales to avoid any friction.
According to him: ” National Organizing Secretary, since you want to start sales of forms, we want to make a change, a positive change. Instead of the states to wait, until you complete sales of forms when we grew up the shares, that is creating a lot of problems. What I direct is that you split them out. If they pay and whatever percentage you pay comes to the account. The percentage belonging to the states goes to the states.
” So that at the end of it, what we have is all our own. And what they have is all their own. Because by the time we collect a huge some of money, we may become greedy. When your pocket is good, if they bring something you may develop cold feet. But whatever you have in your pocket, okay go is your own.
” And you will be happy. So, I think this is a new system that we want to use to encourage transparency and accountability in our party. I think this is important. And this could even make the party to work hard. So that more revenue comes to the party. But, they say monkey they work baboon dey chop. No, this baboon doesn’t want to chop”, he said.
Dr. Ganduje reiterated further that the place of organisation as the Forum represents can not be overlooked because where there is no proper and functional organisation, there is no program that can succeed with any meaningful impact. He emphasized that the National Secretariat has taken into consideration the appeal for seminars and workshops for offices of state organizing Secretaries so that they can deliver on their mandate as the engine room of the party who wish to win an election.
He said: ” So, we thank you for showing concern for coming all over to discuss with your mentor, the National Organizing Secretary. We thank you for coming. From time to time, you should exchange views for him to know what is happening in the grassroots. And for you to hear what is happening in our office. There is no doubt this tie between the subnational and National is very important especially in the department of organisation.
” What he has done is part of organisation. Because organisation is all about functions and linkages. So, that you achieve your objectives. If you have a program and no organisation, there is no program. Whatever you want to do, if there is no organisation even in your house as a family, if there is no organisation your children will be in disarray. This shows how important organisation is.
” In fact, we have made it very clear that our new dispensation here, we want to make our offices functional. Core offices that are physically habitable. Functionally professional. Right from the ward, local and state levels. This is great work for organisation. We have written to the Progressive Nigeria’s Governor’s Forum who will see to the implementation of this our new initiatives.
” The function of political party’s is not only during elections. We want it to be through out the year. Like you requested for a function, seminars and workshops, we will scout to say which state is ready to host such a crucial event. We will do that and give you every assistance. Because we have off-cycle elections coming in Edo and Ondo state. The primaries are coming earlier by next year. And the elections are in late 2024. So, we need your services. I am sure our timetable is already on. Selling of forms will commence immediately.
” But what I will like you to do is that, electronic registration of our members have started. So, you look reservedly as rare members. That is very important during primaries. If you don’t know your membership your problems start. From there. And that may lead to losing election. You can loose elections because of lack of organisation. Your election can be nullify. And be given to your opponent”, he noted.
Meanwhile, speaking on the motive while they were on the visit, the chairman of Forum of APC States Organizing Secretaries, Hon. James Ornguga the APC Benue State Organizing Secretary stated that they were on the visit to thank the National Chairman and the party for all that they have been doing for the party most especially on the victory that the party got from the general election.
Ornguga said they deem it wise to also congratulate the National Chairman on his emergence as the National Chairman of the party and the recent court of appeal judgment which affirmed that APC won the election in Kano State and other states. He however requests for seminars and workshops for the party at the state chapters.
” We are to congratulate our National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje first for the success of the party in the general elections, your emergence as the National Chairman of the party and your recent victory in Kano state.
” It shows that your leadership is a plus for the party. We wish ro make a request for your consideration, our national chairman for seminars and workshops for members of the party at the state chapters”, he said.
