JUST IN: Adjoto’s Legacy Shines in Okpameriland, Akoko-Edo — Olowojaye

A political associate of the former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kabiru Adjoto, Wesley Olowojaye, has described the lawmaker’s leadership record and developmental contributions as a shining example of servant leadership in Okpameriland, Akoko-Edo and Edo State.

 

 

 

Olowojaye, who spoke while reflecting on Adjoto’s political legacy and recent transformation of the State Local Government Staff Training School in Bekuma, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, said the former Speaker had consistently demonstrated commitment to public service, constructive dialogue and the empowerment of emerging leaders.

 

 

 

He said Adjoto’s contribution to the development of his people deserved recognition, urging residents and political stakeholders to acknowledge what he described as the former Speaker’s “selfless service to humanity.”

 

 

According to him, Adjoto’s commitment to development was evident in the transformation of the State Local Government Staff Training School at Bekuma, describing the facility as having been upgraded into a modern institution capable of providing digitally driven training for local government personnel.

 

 

 

“Look no further than his legacy project in Bekuma, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, and give him his well-deserved flowers,” Olowojaye said.

 

 

Recounting a private meeting with Adjoto last week, Olowojaye said the former Speaker demonstrated his continued belief in constructive engagement and progressive ideas, while also expressing confidence in the capacity of young leaders to contribute meaningfully to society.

 

 

He disclosed that Adjoto had predicted that Bekuma would attract significant attention on September 5 because of the transformation taking place there.

 

 

 

“He told me, ‘Chief of Staff, on the 5th of September, Bekuma will be in the news and across social media for all the right reasons.’ Today, that vision has come to pass,” Olowojaye recalled.

 

 

The political associate further described Adjoto as a leader whose political relevance remained evident whenever issues concerning his people and the wider society arose.

 

 

“Love him or hate him, you cannot fault his selfless service to humanity. You cannot ignore his political visibility whenever it matters most,” he said.

 

 

 

Olowojaye also praised Adjoto for his loyalty to those he supports, saying the former Speaker was known for standing firmly by people and principles he believed in.

 

 

 

He particularly congratulated Adjoto on what he described as the landmark transformation of the Local Government Staff Training School in Bekuma, which he said had evolved into a facility comparable to a university-grade institution.

 

 

 

According to him, the development represented more than physical infrastructure, as it would contribute to building a digitally empowered workforce capable of responding to the demands of modern public administration.

 

 

 

He expressed the hope that the leadership philosophy associated with Adjoto would continue to influence the public and civil service, ultimately benefiting the people of Edo State.

 

 

 

“May your kind of visionary leadership continue to thrive in our public and civil service for the overall benefit of our people and Edo State at large,” Olowojaye said.

 

 

He ended his tribute with a traditional expression of appreciation and respect, declaring: “Makanya, sir!”
