Protest dead on arrival says Ganduje
….As Youth leader urges youth to be patient with President Tinubu

Amidst calls by concerned Nigerians for national protest to register their grievances against the President Tinubu led administration over biting hunger and rise in cost of living, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje has described the call as “dead on arrival”.
Ganduje made this scathing remarks when the the national youth eader, Dayo Israel hosted APC youth leaders and stakeholders to brainstorm on the proposed protest from August 1 to 10.
He said the protest is ill-conceived and will not amount to anything useful because Nigeriasns are willing and ready to be patient with the Tinubu’s government over promises that he made which he is doing everything to see the light of the day.
He said: The much talked about national protest, I think that protest is dead on arrival. When I saw you, in my mind I said, these protest is dead on arrival. Because those who will own it are here who are against it.
” I am sure you are aware we introduced some programmes. Some workshops in order to educate our youth on how to retain their jobs. Or how to look for jobs. And skills for them to be able to compete with others. This is the Cardinal objective of our party for more programmes for you the youth.
” The students loan for the youth by Mr President will increase enrolment in our institution of higher learning. Those who are financially incapable now have opportunity to gain admission into universities and retain themselves in the university until they graduate. This is a good omen. We assure you that programmes will be produced so that it will provide you with an opportunity to be employed. To be self-employed or to be employed by the organised private sector”, he noted.
Earlier, the National Youth leader, Dr. Dayo Israel disclosed that they have discussed their concerns and have come to submit their report to the National Chairman so that he can assist to present it to the President for him to act on.
He said: ” We met to discuss on how we can manage the criss in the country. We agreed to be patient with Mr. President to achieve. his goals for Nigerians. That is why we are gathered here. And we have discussed and people have come up with different ideas that is peculiar to their community and their States.
” At the end of the day, what we want from you is that we will present a report to your office through our leader, and father, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and we want a prompt action. The quick action that we want is that you should please help us present it to the President. If some of the things we have discussed are being implemented within the shortest period of time, we will have a violent free protest, “he stated.
