The Vietnam Ambassador to Nigeria, Bui Quoc Hung has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ensuring there is stability in the Nigerian economy noting that he wished the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the next election in January, 2027.

Amb. Hung made this commendation when he visited the National Chairman of the party at the National Secretariat of the party in Wuse 2, Abuja stating that Nigwria and Vietnam shared similarities in terms of young population.

He said: ” Nigeria is recording very good achievements in macroeconomic stability in terms of stabilising local currency naira and in terms of upgrading investment. Nigeria has been gaining a lot in the last few years.

“”We are happy about the future of APC in the coming election because next January 2027, there will be an election of the president and assembly members. We hope that APC successfully wins the election. I thank you, your Excellency, for welcoming us this morning.

” We shared with him the political system in Vietnam in general. And the national Congress of the party of the 50th anniversary. We share some similarities between the two countries in terms of history and the defence of our economies.

” We shared some similarities in terms of our young population. We are peace loving people. Our strategic positions in our regions in Southeast Asia and West Africa.

” The President is taking the lead in terms of West Africa and I also want to congratulate the national chairman of the party on the achievements by the Nigerian government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the leadership of APC.

” We shared our mutual concerns. And especially in areas where we can promote our relations in agriculture because it will help us in Nigeria on issues like the ICT and human resource exchange. And also culture and other issues”, he stated.

Responding, in his remark, the National chairman of the party, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda explained that he is happy for the visit saying President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is providing the needed infrastructure for manpower development.

Yilwatda said: ” The biggest takeaway is the lessons we are learning from Vietnam for migrating from third world country to to developing country. The roadmap is to ensure that by 2030 and middle income countries are stable. And by 2045 it will be a developed country.

” Most of the strategic plans are that we are providing manpower development as a country. The government is providing the best infrastructure.

“By the history of Nigeria, we have the longest road Sokoto to Badagry. From Lagos to Calabar. The most expensive project is running gas from Warri to Kano. And from Lagos to Maradi in Niger.

” So this is the biggest for Nigeria for having that Maradi port. And ensuring that Nigerians can export and have Nigeria in Niger especially countries that are landlocked. Like Niger, Chad, Sudan, Burkina Faso, who will depend heavily on that route for their exports.

” We are doing the same thing as you in West Africa. And this are lessons we have learnt as a nation. We want to work with him as partners in ensuring we match along side with them being partners in progress”, he noted.
