Edo Gubernatorial Primary: We will produce a candidate that can win the election –‘ Gov Hope Uzodinma  …Contestant free to appeal says Dr. Ganduje

The Governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzodinma has declared that the purpose for which the party, All Progressives Congress, APC, is sending him and members of the party to conduct the Edo state Governorship Primary is such that the outcome will be one that is acceptable to the people of the state and even at the national level, saying only a candidate that can win election will emerge.

Gov. Uzodinma who was earlier inaugurated as Chairman of Edo State Gubernatorial Primary Election Committee and six others along side the Edo State Governorship Election Appeal Committee stated that they will be diligent and do what will be acceptable to all members of the party.

He explained that there is no doubt, the task placed under them is a reflection of their experiences and trust which has largely informed their appointment hence the need to ensure fairness for all.

He said: ” And by the grace of God, it is our hope that the product of our exercise will be a candidate that will win the election.

” We will be very diligent. And we will do  what will be acceptable to the entire members of our party from Edo State and even at the national level.

” All of them.expects that the caliber of men and women in the membership of the committees, that we are trusted and experienced party members who will go to Edo state and do justice to the assignment that has been given to us”, he stated.

Also, addressing the members of the party in a remark, the National Chairman of the party, APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje noted that it is part of the tradition and culture of the party to appoint members of the party to undertake any assignment for the party.

He insisted that in whatever the Committees decides to do, contestant has the right to appeal, liking it to the body of the party’s decision that cannot be reversed.

Dr. Ganduje said: ” It is being a tradition and a culture and in particular in our party, we always constitute a body that will undertake any assignment so that at the end of it, we will get a good result with due process and transparency.

” The composition of the two committees, is a product of the party’s NWC as according to the constitution of the party.
