Says at the appropriate time the right candidate will be announce

Following controversy trailing the Edo state Governorship Primary Election held on the 17th February, 2024, where three aspirants have declared themselves the winner, the leadership of the party has remained silent over the development for no stated reason.
It will be recalled that Governor Hope Uzodinma, is the Chairman Edo State Governorship Election Primary Committee who had earlier declared Hon. Dennis Idahosa as winner of the primary. While State returning officer in the Edo Central Senatorial District declared Senator Monday Okpebholo as winner.
Meanwhile Dekeri Amanero in connivance with some persons in the party has also declared himself the winner which has further divide the cracks in the party.
But, in a reaction via phone conversation, the State Acting chairman of the party in Edo, Jareth Tenebe stated that at the appropriate time the right candidate of the party will be announced.
He said: ” The party conducted primary and somebody emerged. So, within the next few days, you people will know who won the primary..
On the question that he was seen declaring one of the aspirant as winner, the Acting chairman said: ” I am the chairman of the party in Edo state.
” And it is the National Working Committee, NWC that did the primary. So, there is a procedure, and in announcing the result. So, within the next few days, everything will be settled”.
Speaking further, Mr. Tenebe noted: ” At the appropriate time, you will see the party’s candidate and that is the only thing I can say for now”.
